Next time I don't have a wrench - just a vise, a drill, an old bicycle chain, some nails, a hammer, a wing nut, a couple hex nuts, and a long threaded rod they fit on - I'll have to remember this! 😒

So, I don't think that's the message. It's about how to use a tool at your disposal to accomplish a job! It's the mindset.. take what you can out of a specific example like the cycle chain one 😀

Actually a chain wrench is handy for many caps, pipes and odd shaped parts, where standard wrenches don't work or fit well. And if your in pinch and don't have access to a pipe wrench you can make one. But yeah it takes some effort to make it ..

I’ll make a run to the hardware store pick up a cheap wrench, stop by and get a bottle of my favorite adult beverage, get a ridiculous buzz going in the same time it would take to make that chain wrench.

I love watching these videos, but as an engineer I get quite frustrated when a great idea is somewhat spoiled by a lack of forethought regarding future repair/maintenance. The inductive charger is a classic. The hole should be large enough to enable fitment from BELOW. That way, should a failure occur (they DO happen!) the unit can easily be replaced. Simple change ... Massive long term benefit. Also, and this is just minor, the positioning of the charger would probably be better nearer the edge to allow larger items like a vase or lamp to be placed centrally. Please keep doing these videos. They provide great food for thought!

That is EXACTLY what I thought. I want to retrofit my current night stand with a qi charger, so I would have to go in from the bottom. Which is good because of fails, just like you said, but also changes in tech. They are getting more efficient all the time!

At the 36 second mark you quickly showed how to make perfect squares - I am totally confused 😢. First what is that tool/piece of wood that has “Angles” written on it and how do you cut and place the wooden piece at the upper Left-Hand-Side. Then I do not understand how you determined where to mark the cutting mark on the 2 pieces of wood you penciled the “X”s on. Would it be possible for you to please make a short detailed video about making perfect squares?

I'm only a bit better at handyman hacks than at being a bouncer. I leave a lot of handyman tasks to the professionals now. Here is a tip for some women while on the job being an actual handy person getting paid for doing so: Hide some emergency phone numbers away in a place that no one would look while going through all of your stuff. Like when around 50 investigators come to snoop through your way more square footage home where according to the law is only your responsibility to ensure all is clean there just in case all of them show up at your place next after maybe saying again, "Roger". Or maybe Trudeau.

It's annoying seeing a project picture as your thumbnail for the video only to find out that the project is no where to be found in the video. Click bait is a cheap trick and you WILL lose viewers because of it.
