Ingenious DIY Hydroelectric Turbine Systems | Free Energy by
Dams have been around for millions of years, helping humanity control the resources around us. Now they are masterpieces of engineering, with the biggest structure on earth being a dam. But doing something mini has the same merit as doing it at a large scale. And here we bring you three examples. Watch this review of three amazing mini dams and tell us what you think. Enjoy!

Nice stuff. Just one fyi. If you are trying this at home you need to check what type of pvc pipe you are using. We ( in Europe. From dyka ) get 90%recycled pipe and it's very different to heat and work with than non-recycled pipe ( which is what is used in this construction.) I think this is great use of brain and water power . 👏

I liked this video just a few inquires though. Why did you use straight impeller blades vs the more efficient pelton curve blades or impulse impeller design? also you have an open core around the shaft vs a filled/walled space around it to prevent the water from dropping through the core and essentially creating drag on the rising blades. Was this intentional? The input jet is also offset from the outflow plane. It seems like the jet would be better in plane with the outflow, was there a reason for this? I liked the mini dams, they were very cool. My personal favorite is the kaplan axial since you can split off small overflow dams 1-2 meters in height and return the flow back to the main body for local power without adversely affecting wildlife

Very cool!! Alot of these designs are conceptually so creative but they all seem to be lacking design components to sustain long-term longevity. Something to consider is moisture in the circuitry and housing of cables, these will allow for the design to be used in a more practicable way without needing to repair it every few months. @@leviathan1082 Almost correct. Without a load there is electricity but no power consumption, thus little resistance. The higher the load the higher the power consumption and thus load. These are fairly basic engineering principles, regrettably these basic principles of how the world actually works are not part of the standard curriculum of schools. This btw is not a viable power production means. It suffices if all you need is some lighting assuming you add a bit of battery capacity, but that is probably just about it.

The diy technique here is beautiful 🥹👌
Looks great but....what kind of power do you get out of the system with how much head and flow? Also, is it proportionally scalable?
Fantastic fantastic stuff, both the meticulousness of the build and the visuals and explanations. There are a few benefits of dams and a few negatives of river generators that are ignored. A dam benefits by storing water above it, and therefore increasing the flow (and electrical output) through the dam. The river generator, while effective at an individual level, if implemented at a city level, would not only affect flow but would heat the water high enough that oxygen is no longer saturated ...resulting in dead fish and dead plantation. No matter how you do something, there will be negative impacts that have to be adjusted for.
I'd like to see what voltage and wattage you're getting out of those.

This would just look really cool in a back yard
