Try using an AC induction with around 95%, instead of this BLDC motor, which is barely 55% efficient. You could use the BLDC motor as a generator, for regen but the traction motor should be an AC,3 phase motor, with its appropriate speed controller. It will have to a be mid-drive setup, connected to the wheel via a chain, but it will definitely give better range. Also, the battery should be bigger and 60VDC instead of 48V.

BLDC ebike direct drives are around 80% efficient and BLDC geared motors are 95% efficient

@@Calibike Sorry. DC motors as such, by the way they are constructed and the way they work, are usually not more than 55% efficient, in terms of energy in vs mechanical power out. Check out 'Motor Secrets' by Dr.Peter Lindermann and you'll learn the facts.

Quite impressive, but the addition of iron metal needlessly increased the gadget's weight. It would have been more efficient to use materials like aluminum, fiberglass, or wood to reduce weight and decrease energy consumption.

На раме расположен аккумулятор. Для разгона его хватает. Далее ток потребляется от солнечных батарей.

It is inside rear wheel as found in 2 wheeler EV scooter see 02:45 and also in starting scooter probably that was EV only. Mentioned in caption also

What is the source of energy? Solar, the motor is from an EV so the power for the engine comes from the battery, the solar panels provide the charge: Solar charged batteries. It's Solar. I would be sceptical though that one panel is enough to recharge the battery sufficiently whilst in the bike is in use.
