Thanks for the nice sharing, your support is very valuable to me.
This is a wonderful cabin. You show how it can be made inexpensively & still look great! Do not listen to those who don’t have decent comments. They are just jealous of you & how well you build…
Amazing job from start to finish, really inspiring as well. A pleasure to watch.
Fantastic.... Even see the gf helping, enjoy your life and Ty for sharing...

@@brandonbell5357 Yes it was. I have been building since I was a very young age, so this type of structure was relatively straight forward for me to complete. I enjoyed every minute of it, though. If you’d like to see more being built, I’m going to be completing a larger two month project. As per usual, I will be sending the video across to this channel, so stay tuned.

There’s been a very small bridge in a neighboring town that I pass often on my way to work that’s been under repair for nearly five years, and this guy builds a complete house in 15 days. Maybe I should suggest to the nearby town to hire this guy. He’d have the bridge repaired in less than a week.

Revelaed to see them they try insulate with styrofoam, but to keep it cozy warm during cold winter nights, or the hot summer days they should use Rockwool or Glava...

Nice work, congratulations. I read that you built in the Azores, with materials that respect the environment etc etc Did you buy the windows or build them yourself? Well edited video, key steps, clear video. Only question, I'm writing from Rome. The amount you indicate seems small to me, around €3,000 The wood, the poles, the boards you used here, really cost a lot. Do you live there, take holidays or did you build it for the video?

That's a lot of screws. There's a reason framers use nails. Looks nice though.
What sort of R value are you getting out of single layer rigid insulation? You tend to get about 6 per inch, and that looks like 2 inch? Even in the warmest climates the recommended ceiling R value should be 30 minimum, this looks like it will be a cold and hot cabin, requiring lots of power to keep cool and warm.
Странно что дерево совсем не защищено. А климат, судя по пейзажу, влажный

Mate all good but any roof plumber knows you never put screws in the flat section of trim deck roof sheets. Your roof will leak in no time.........
The windows should be opening outward... in that way you have a stopper from the inside and water doesn't drip in.
Think it would be better to use better windows. I remodeled many houses and started out using used windows and eventually they have to be replaced. Better to start with a vinyl window with a screen for ventilation and mosquito protection. You have a nice helper.
Video talking a lot about energy conservation, but you install old single pane windows. As well, minimal amount of blue foam insulation used.
I like everything but the windows and door swings inward. The window sills should be on the inside with the window swinging out IMO

What do you do with it ? Do you actually stay and spend the weekend? Did you sell it ? Curious?
Now that you’ve finished the entrance way maybe you can build the rest of the house in your next vid ?
another way to set posts is to hammer stones around the base, which compacts the earth in the hole. No need to haul concrete into the jungle!

I'm assuming for 3k all the wood and insulation was donated. That's about 3k worth of insulation plus the 6k+ of wood and the 2k+ of screws.
Very nice! But I want a cabin with only a few small windows on all sides in case there are enemies.
