I like the build

The process of building a house has many steps that require mastering the architecture of a carpenter. At the end of the video, the kitchen is placed in the corner of the house, super neat.

I'm impressed with the construction but the A frame is probably the most inefficient design there is. I think my garden shed has more head room to walk around in.

yeah but in the wintertime when it's snowing a foot an hour and the wind is gusting up to 60 mph it allows the snow to slide off and the wind to blow up and over the house. I live in the high desert of New Mexico and I'm planning on building an A-frame for the exact same reason. we don't get alot of snow but we get more than the usual amount of rain (13-18 inches a year) and we get some pretty high wind that blows in off the mountains, especially in the Spring and Fall, we get an average 8.8 MPH wind and gets gust of up 60 mph, the U.S. Average Wind speed is 4-5 Mph.

Main advantage is that snow can just glide down. unless its is a very tall A Frame, it tends to have a smaller space compared to other styles.

Great work, though I can't understand why they wouldn't want a bit more light inside... The openings in the stud frame at the back were sized like doors, so was surprised to see them covered over and not glazed, at least.

It gets REALLY cold in Alaska and the more windows you have the more heat escapes plus if the get too cold they will break.

its just a bit too small. id make 2 more of those next to each other. One is my gym and office, the other to sleep and relax, and another to eat, cook, store food. Connected. Or maybe a cross of 2 A frame houses would also do.

И правда больше похоже на шалаш, чем на дом. Такие же летние домики делают и пастухи в горах во время перегона и выгула скота. Я так и не понял как решили вопрос с холодом: утеплением стен, пространством вокруг двери, печкой (где выход под трубу, зачем этот акцент внимания на запас дров разве что для барбекью). А вопрос про холод они подняли сами..Пользу из видео не смог извлечь.

Great construction guys, but please don’t mislead people by using a wide angle lense in an A frame. Your build cost must be at least $20,000 for a claustrophobic narrow tunnel.

Ingenious creation you say? Nah .. far from that .. the A frame house is no cozy .. it feels like you live in the dark attic with no room to walk or air to breathe .. one of the most impractical creations ever when it comes to the use of space .. but yeah .. some folks still love this design and who can deny them that 😂

A-frames are cute and quaint but totally a waste of space. Usually little to no storage space and if theres a loft, its always hot AF and the ground floor is cold as ice.

That's why you don't build a High loft. When I build A-Frame my loft is going to be at the 7 foot mark instead of the 9 or 10 foot mark like most are, You can also off set the heat by putting in a ceiling fan opposite of the loft.

Yes but if your not always at property to remove snow load, it's the best roof for the job

@@hermanstokbrood I priced materials on one for someone that wanted a metal roof. I also showed him the cost of an equivalent floor sized place with regular walls with a loft and it was comparable just because of the cost of the metal and the long rafters on an A frame come at a premium.
