This is the first "life hacks" video I've ever watched that wasn't utterly ridiculous garbage ideas. Well-done actually useful tips here. That dowel joint needs glue across all joint surfaces though
@michaelhanson5773
Жыл бұрын
Nah... A lot of them are garbage and have been shown in other videos. It is must be the same things just keep getting recycled and spit back out as original. Many of these hacks are better off in the dumpster and people use the proper tools for the job instead of doing these which either would cost more or take more time.

Ngl. My favorite part of these videos is the professionals in the comments yelling 'foul!'. You guys, you are the real heroes here.
Put a wind chime on the door you want your 'alarm' on. No broken glass with the potential to cut your bare feet in the middle of the night. And It can be heard throughout the house!
The short piece about mounting that sink could be problematic. It's quick and holds, but if that sink cracks, at some point, you will hate the guy who chose that lazy hack. You will have to chisel that sink off of the bottom of the counter. I have had to do it hundreds of times; it's no fun. There is a real big chance that you will permanently damage your counter. The proper mounts (brackets) are not that hard to affix correctly.

Yep. And the mounts are quite cheap also. So liquid nails isn't the best solution.

Lmao that little carpet trick at the beginning uses a $60 top cutter and a $400 microwave carpet iron not to mention the price of the special adhesive seam tape 😂😂😂
Hey one of these videos that actually has some useful info. 👌

Or the one time you actually have a chance to use one of the good hacks, you do the task the hard way and remember the hack after you're already done, lol 🤦
The hacks are interesting but go through too rapidly to be able to appreciate all of them
the videos.. captivates viewers.. it's so perfect
Has anyone ever seen any of these tricks in real life??😅
Most of these hacks take longer and more money than it does to just go buy the tool or item you're trying to avoid getting. 😂 Some are just sketchy too.

Absolutely love these, the human mind is a wonder, indeed. ‘Hats off’ to the craftsmen!
I enjoy watching these hacks & tips and the thumbnail for the video is often the key/relevant item I particularly want to view. It is so frustrating to get to that segment only to find little or no extra information than the thumbnail itself provided. I hope this isn't some form of click-bait!
AMAZING tips. Thank you
Wow amazing 👍
Be aware that the degrees on the speed square is the angle your cutting away. Same as a miter saw. That 15 degree angle, if cut away, leaves you with an 85 degree angle on the remaining piece.

This needs to be renamed for WELDERS ONLY. MOST handymen/handywomen DO NOT HAVE A WELDING MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6:54 You can hear a cry of 10 000 welders across the world ! That is a weld without penetration,it wont hold a lot of force.Electrode needs to be at cca 80- 85°angle depending what you do.

they have some clever things here, but sometimes they put up a couple terrible ones. I'm a tradie also, and when i see them doing "electrical hacks" sometimes i let people know not to do that shit also. but good call anyway man

My knowledge of welding comes almost solely from the welding section (2 weeks? 3?) in an ag intro class in high school decades ago, and that still made even *my* head explode - lol! "That's *so* not how you do it!"

Tractor trailer mechanic here. Agreed with everyone here. Some good ideas. Some not so good. Bottom line if you're going to do something yourself one time or a dozen times, just by the right damn tools for the job then figure out later what to do with them.
there where quite a few jump skips in this video where u had to edit out failures

I’ve been having issues with not creating broken glass when I shut the doors in my home and am wholly disappointed that your cover shot turned out to be click bait.
Ok the scribe part was actually pretty awesome
I wish I could do all my tasks at 5.0 speed like in the video.
How does adding dowels at the steam line make the joint tighter? As long as the wood is cut correctly to fit together, you could just as easily put the glue at the seams and rubber band or clamp it together until it dries.
I just adore this channel. It's like all my favorite books My grandmother used to get me as a child, in video episode format.

Most of these are interesting BUT the "improvised" charging from a different amperage outlet due to OBVIOUS reasons!! And the deer feeders, I pretty sure you don't really want to feed them to prevent them from "moving in" cause you got food for them.

agreed I was thinking about the "make the wires look better" section too, won't that break the wires and I thought we didn't want electricity circleing around it self that's why cords on the computer stay straight it will cross information if the wires are criss crossing too much

If your PVC glue joint comes apart that easily then it wasn't done right in the first place. I suspect that there was no primer or glue on that joint at all. It was just "dry fitted" in order to make a video.
